Ah, Valentine's Day...
It's one of those days that carry with it great expectations...for some. We try not to do the whole pressure thing with "special days" & it usually works out. Flowers & chocolate are pretty awesome gifts. The problem with chocolate is that it only lasts about 2 days in our house. We each got a pound this year so maybe it'll last 3 days. Back to the specialness of valentine's day...

For me, I never had a "girlfriend" when I was younger, however I did "like" girls. Valentine's day was about getting candy hearts & making sure you gave the hearts with the extra special messages to the hott girls. So, that and chocolate. I bought flowers for this one girl in high school on valentine's day. It was love baby. Didn't last. She was an idiot.

When I think Valentine's day now, I think of last year. February 14th. I woke up at 5am & drove over & picked up Moses. We had a flight to catch. We got to the airport & stood in line like good sheeple. As was standard back then, we exchanged some Old Gregg quotes. What caught me off guard was the chick in the other line who rang in, "I'm Old Gregg." She said I sounded just like him... We arrived in Vegas pretty early & were picked up by uncle Morris. He took us to the Beetle Barn where Shirley was. Shirley is my 1987 VW golf. We got her, drove over to the DMV to get a moving permit & then over to Morris' house. This is where Moses showed me how to best clean the inside windows. It's not just windex & paper towels stupid. We left. I'd never driven from Vegas to Reno. The first hour of the drive was me driving & Moses looking in the glove box at all the original paperwork & repeatedly saying, "no way." We made great time. Tonopah was the halfway point. Boring. We ate at taco bell in Fallon, filled up with gas again & then made for Reno. Picked up the other car at the airport & dropped it off at the house. Now, it was Valentine's day & we effectively were away from our wives all day. We headed for Costco. We each got flowers & then See's candy gift certificates. Went to the candy store to cash in...and did.

No vegas trip this year. But still good memories.

Chocolate is the best. I can totally picture Mo repeatedly saying "no way", and I can definitely remember the Old Greg days. I love you babe!
